City Facilities: Rebuilding Progress 

More than 300 City facilities were damaged by the Flood of 2008. The City continues to repair and rebuild those facilities. Details about the largest facility construction projects are listed below.

• City Hall: Opened June 4, 2012 

• Paramount Theatre: Opened October 26, 2012

• Ladd Library - West Side Branch: Opened February 23, 2013

• Cedar Rapids Convention Center: Opened May 31, 2013

• CR Transit Bus Garage: Opens June 2013

• Cedar Rapids Public Library - Main Branch: Opens August 24, 2013

• Riverfront Amphitheater & Levee Project: Opens August 2013 

• City Services Center: Office Building Opens September 2013   

• Animal Care & Control Facility: Opens October 2013

• Central Fire Station: Opens October 2013

• Ground Transportation Center: Opens December 2013  

• Westside Fire Station No. 3: Opens December 2013
