This Web site is one of the many ways the City of Cedar Rapids provides information for its citizens. The City's Public Information Officers also use media releases, news conferences, Web site announcements, newsletters, events, social media and text and e-mail notifications to share important information with the public.

We strive to provide accurate, timely information to Cedar Rapids citizens, in accordance with the Cedar Rapids City Council's Public Records Policy, the Iowa Open Meetings Law and the Iowa Open Records Law.

 
In addition, the City is in the process of implementing a Citywide Strategic Communications Plan to fulfill the City Council's goal to "connect people to their government."
